Veena Kutler has 25 years of investment management experience, including 13 years with T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. where she served as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager. While at T. Rowe Price, she managed a variety of funds and accounts with an aggregate market value of approximately $2 billion, including a fund named by Forbes Magazine on its list of Best Buys during her tenure. In her prior position, Veena was the Assistant Director of Investments of a major Washington DC pension fund where she helped set investment policy and strategy for the $5 billion plan.
In 2009, Veena was recognized by the Washingtonian Magazine as a “Top of their Game” financial expert. Along with her Garnet Group colleague, Annette Simon, Veena has written a popular practice management column for Morningstar Advisor, a respected resource for financial advisors. She is a contributing author of the textbook Pension Fund Investment Management. She is a speaker at investment seminars and has appeared in national publications including the Washington Post, Bloomberg, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, the New York Post, CNBC.com and Business Week. Veena served as a trustee of a non-profit foundation.
Veena is a member of several professional societies including the CFA® Institute, the CFA® Society of Washington DC, and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). She served as President of the Washington DC Metro NAPFA group. She earned an MBA, Finance, from George Washington University, and a BS in computer science from West Virginia University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), the premier investment analytic designation.
